Popular past characters have included the goat man\, visiting Salem Witches\, Thomas Carnegie\, soldiers\, and pirates. This year’s characters will regale spectators with tales from beyond the grave creatively connected to St. Marys’ history. Melding legends of local spirits with authentic historical events\, professional and amateur storytellers during this tour! Golf carts will be utilized for those who prefer not to walk the 6-block tour. \nUpon purchase of a ticket\, guests can pick up a map of the tour at Once Upon a Bookseller or St. Marys Welcome Center\, and they can begin the tour at any of the venues. \nTickets will be available in early September at Once Upon a Bookseller in downtown St. Marys (cash or check please) and online at StMarysLittleTheatre.com. Hosted by Camden Cycling Club\, this scenic cycling event takes riders along some of Camden County’s most beautiful waterways\, roadways\, and marsh landscapes\, with route options designed for a variety of skill levels and distances. \nRoutes include 30-mile\, 40-mile\, 62-mile\, and 100-mile rides\, with clearly marked\, color-coded courses\, stocked rest stops\, SAG support vehicles\, and cue sheets provided for participants. Riders will roll through areas surrounding the Satilla River\, Crooked River\, and St. Marys River — the inspiration behind the event’s name. \nEvent-day activities begin at Howard Gilman Memorial Waterfront Park\, where packet pickup opens at 6:30 a.m. at the gazebo. Riders stage at 7:15 a.m. for a safety briefing before staggered starts begin with century riders\, followed by the shorter routes. \nParticipants can also kick off the weekend early with packet pickup on Friday\, November 6\, from 3–7 p.m. at the St. Marys Welcome Center.
