DESCRIPTION:St. Marys & Cumberland Island  |  Saturday\, June 13  |  9 AM-3:30 PM  |  Tickets Required \nNature abounds on Cumberland Island National Seashore!   \nExplorers of all ages are invited to experience the Georgia coast’s largest island as never before at “Naturalist 101: Explore Cumberland—Family Edition” on Saturday\, June 13\, from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. \nJoin OneHundredMiles.org naturalists Stephanie Chewning and Eric Swanson. Together\, you’ll take the ferry from downtown St. Marys before exploring Cumberland Island’s Dungeness ruins (home to the famed Carnegie family)\, as well as the island’s maritime forest\, marshes\, and the longest stretch of undeveloped beach in Georgia. \nWhile this field trip is open to all ages\, please know you will walk more than five miles from one ferry stop to another\, some of it on loose sand on an undeveloped island. There will be plenty of water and snack breaks\, as well as time for lunch. This trip will happen rain or shine.
