Independence Day Festival

Celebrate America’s independence each July at the Annual Independence Day Festival in neighboring, historic downtown St. Marys. One of the oldest cities in the nation, St. Marys has strong patriotic ties thanks to the local Kings Bay Submarine Base. Its rich history and military connections make for the perfect backdrop for an annual Independence Day Festival.

Kick off the day with 5K and 10K runs and an exciting parade before strolling along the historic city streets admiring the best, local arts and crafts and food vendors. Spectators will delight in the spectacular fireworks display that ends this celebration with a bang, at dusk.
