The Southeast Blues & BBQ Festival features live blues and jazz performances, a local art market, and some of the best BBQ vendors throughout the Southeast region! The festival takes place at the historic St. Mary’s Waterfront Park in Downtown St. Mary’s Georgia. We’re celebrating our rich traditions, varying cooking styles, and diverse community. This event seeks to increase awareness about mental health and serves as an important opportunity for community involvement and support. Additionally, we will honor our local educators during the Educator Parade.

Hay Days begins in St Marys with scarecrows and fall decorations taking over the downtown historic district for this annual three-week event. Located just minutes east of Kingsland, event activities include: Build-A-Scarecrow Event, where participants come out and build their own scarecrow to take home or display downtown; The Scarecrow Stroll includes a family evening downtown visiting merchants who provide treats, activities and free hayrides down the main street. Downtown St. Marys | October 5th, 2024 | 7AM-6PM

It’s the 51st Anniversary of the Kiwanis Club of St. Marys annual St. Marys Seafood Festival!

The festival brings a full day of fun in St. Marys, including a 5K and 10K run, a themed 10:00 a.m. parade featuring floats, fire trucks, tractors, and golf carts, and, of course, seafood concessionaires. You’ll also find entertainment, demonstrations, arts & crafts vendors, and more.

A favorite part of the day will be the food! The restaurants will be offering seafood festival specials and there will be food trucks and vendors with sensational seafood fare. The Kiwanis Club will offer their Kiwanis Seafood Dinners and will plan to serve from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Each dinner includes fried fish, fried rock shrimp, boiled shrimp, coleslaw, and hush puppies.

The festival is on the waterfront in St. Marys historic district and offers visitors a relaxing small-town feel.

*The festival schedule is as follows:

7:00 a.m. ~ 5K / 10K Run Start

9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. ~ Vendors

10:00 a.m. ~ Parade Begins

Noon – 5:00 p.m. ~ Entertainment at the Waterfront Park

If you’re planning on attending, advance registration is encouraged for the 5K/10K runs and is mandatory for vendors and parade entrants.

The St. Marys Seafood Festival is organized by the Kiwanis Club of St. Marys and has formerly been known as the St. Marys Rock Shrimp Festival. The festival is supported by the City of St. Marys and area sponsors. Festival proceeds are spent locally to fund Kiwanis youth programs in Camden County. Every year, the picturesque Coastal Georgia town of Kingsland comes alive with a delightful celebration of food, entertainment, and the arts, and it’s all thanks to the beloved Kingsland Catfish Festival. Here, you can savor the rich flavors of local seafood, sample an array of beers and wines, immerse yourself in the tunes of live music, and uncover hidden treasures among antiques and collectibles. With over 150 vendor booths to explore, a dedicated children’s amusement area, and so much more, the Kingsland Catfish Festival stands as one of the area’s most cherished and enduring events. An annual Memorial service honoring World War II Submarine Veteran’s on eternal patrol is held in conjunction with the weekend-long, festive Subvet reunion. Located just minutes from Kingsland, the memorial service is held at the WWII Subvets Pavilion located on Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base.

Downtown Kingsland | November 11th | 10:30AM

When each Veterans Day rolls around, then it’s time again for the annual Veterans Day Parade held in downtown Kingsland. Sponsored by the VFW Post #8385, the parade honors veterans of wartime and peacetime and is a moving tribute to the heroes of our time. Following the parade there will be a ceremony at the Kingsland Veterans Memorial Park starting at 11 AM.

The Annual White Light Parade & Ceremony begins at dusk amongst the tree lined streets of historic St Marys and helps kick off the holiday season. The public is encouraged to join the processional up Osborne Street. As Santa and Mrs. Claus lead the parade and make their way toward the waterfront, Santa magically turns on thousands of twinkling Christmas lights that will remain lit through Christmas. Once at the waterfront pavilion, Santa will light the giant St Marys’ Christmas tree and then take time to sit with all the girls and boys. During this delightful holiday event you’ll be entertained by carolers and dancers and you’ll definitely want to pop into a local business for dinner or hot chocolate. Make sure to bring your camera for a free photo with Santa.

It’s the 5th Anniversary of Camden Library Lights, they have an extra special event planned to celebrate!!

Downtown Woodbine | December 7th | 10AM-4PM

The Woodbine Woman’s Club is hosting an arts and crafts show at the Woodbine Community Center. Handmade crafts of wood, cloth and glass are a few of the items that will be available. In addition, a bake sale will be at the community center. There will be cookies, cakes and candies made by talented local bakers. Stop by some of the downtown businesses and enjoy food from some food trucks. Also, enjoy local entertainment just before the lighted Christmas parade.

Downtown St. Marys | December 7th | 12PM-8PM

Christmas in the Park is a festive St Marys tradition. Santa is on hand to give every child a stocking and a turn on his knee and the park is full of kid friendly games and activity stations. Kids love the Christmas train, the cookies and hot chocolate, and the dozens of costumed characters that stroll through the park. This is a completely free event that really spreads the holiday cheer. You will want to try your hand in the Gingerbread House contest and relax in the park with blankets and hot chocolate as the day’s events end with a holiday movie.
