There are also several local favorites where you can go for a quick bite or a leisurely breakfast. Head on over to Blue Bridge Coffeehouse in Downtown Kingsland for a sweet start to your day! Are you more of a savory breakfast person? Then stop by Steffen’s for an American style breakfast! It’s a Must! Steffen’s is an iconic Kingsland, old-school diner that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will certainly hear all of the latest gossip by the old timers especially if you get up early and arrive at the break of day, so keep your ears peeled! Steffen’s has been providing real comfort Southern food for generations. It’s worth stopping in.

After a delicious breakfast, it’s time to start exploring! Curious about those bird calls that you woke up to? See how many of our fine feathered friends you can spot as you hike one of the beautiful trails in our area! White Oak Rail-Trail is a 6-mile easy trail, perfect for birding, fishing, and hiking, so be sure you bring your camera and all the gear you need. White Oak Trail is in Camden County’s finest in our neighboring community of Woodbine. Follow the path of tranquility and enjoy nature’s paradise. Don’t forget to snap and share your photos on social media to give your fans FOMO while you’re exploring! If you have your bike with you, you will love exploring Mother Nature along the river and into the woods. If you’re missing anything, stop by one of the many bait and tackle shops to restock.

Prefer to get up close and personal with even more of our wide variety of wildlife? Check out the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, a home for migratory birds, in nearby Folkston for a day of exploring. Boasting alligators, woodpeckers, and snakes, oh my! The Wetland is on the International Scale of Importance because it boasts 353,000 acres of rare wildlife. Drivable, walkable, or accessible by kayak or guided boat, “The Oke” as it’s affectionately called, is a must-see in Kingsland, Georgia providing an ecosystem of rich species diversity and cultural experience. Find Grosbeaks, Warblers and Willets! If you’re up for a challenge, print off our native species list and see how many you can find! Wherever you decide to explore, you can feel confident of seeing for yourself why nature reigns here.

By now, you’ve worked up an appetite and you’re ready to head back into Kingsland for another delicious taste of local cuisine! If the thought of seafood and freshly baked bread is enough to make your mouth water, then you have to check out Wandaful Things Bakery and Bistro. If you’re looking for something a little more exotic, try Riverside Cafe and Restaurant for some delicious Greek-American food in nearby St. Mary’s. Nothing makes for a peaceful afternoon like dangling tree moss dancing in the wind to the tune of birdsong.

Once you’re done exploring, head downtown for a little retail therapy! If you need a sweet snack to tide you over till dinner, there are a few local favorites to choose from. If ice cream nachos, mini donut bites, or boba tea is calling your name, head over to Krazee’s for the dessert of your dreams! Or, if you’re more of a traditional shaved ice or ice cream fan, check out Southern Sno Co located right in downtown Kingsland. Once you finish your sweet treat, it’s time to hit the stores! We have something for everyone, from handmade goods, to antiques, to books, to candy and fruit. Get something to commemorate the picture perfect day, or as a souvenir gift to take back to friends and family!

Now it’s time to take your fabulous finds and head to dinner. We have several local favorites to choose from. Angelo’s Italian Restaurant is perfect if you’re craving delicious homemade pasta dishes or pizza and calzones. If you are leaning towards dinner and a drink, check out Outerbanks Bar and Grill, the local’s favorite! Their menu is full of unique cocktails and elevated bar food that will leave you craving more! If you’re looking for dinner with a view, look no farther than Seagle’s Restaurant, conveniently located in the Riverview Hotel in nearby St. Mary’s.
