The family-friendly Meet the Monsters ride is designed for younger children. Along the way, kids discover that not every monster is a bad guy—and even monsters need friends. Experience Kingsland Station

Originally built as a sawmill factory in 1915 and later used as a church, the building has been transformed into Kingsland Station, home to the Florida-Georgia Railway Heritage Museum, a theater and event space, and the boarding point for the Georgia Coastal Railway. Visitors can gather at the station before departure, enjoy refreshments, and explore railroad memorabilia, working model trains, and historic displays.
The venue also hosts live entertainment, including comedy nights on the first Saturday of each month, and other special events throughout the year.
A City Shaped by the Railroad
Railroad history runs deep in Kingsland.
In 1893, the first passenger train crossed property owned by William King. Because King’s home was the only house in sight, the railroad company began referring to the area as “Kings Land.”
The arrival of the railroad encouraged residents, stores, and businesses to settle around the tracks. William Henry King later mapped out the town on the family property, and Kingsland was incorporated in 1908.
Rail service also connected Kingsland with nearby St. Marys. Passenger service on the St. Marys–Kingsland Railroad began in 1908, carrying both travelers and cargo. Over the years, passengers rode traditional rail cars, an early motorized railcar, and a Model T-based vehicle known locally as “The Trolley.”
Kingsland’s original depot burned in 1914 and was replaced by the historic depot that still stands in the city today.
