St. Marys will welcome the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage as the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Route makes its way through Coastal Georgia on Monday, May 25. Pilgrims and community members are invited to gather for an evening of prayer, worship, and fellowship as this nationwide journey passes through the historic waterfront community.
The St. Marys portion begins at the waterfront park, where Bishop Pohlmeier will present the Blessed Sacrament to Bishop Clarke before the Eucharistic procession begins.
Participants will walk approximately about a half mile from the St. Marys Waterfront past Our Lady’s historic chapel (201 Osborne St.) and onward to Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish (106 Dillingham St. E, St. Marys, GA 31558). The evening continues with a Mass of Thanksgiving, a reception, and Eucharistic Adoration.
All are welcome to participate. Advance registration is encouraged to help organizers plan attendance. Overflow parking will be available behind St. Marys Elementary School on Ready Street.
