The St. Marys White Lighting is a festive community tradition that marks the official start of the holiday season in downtown St. Marys. Families and friends gather as the community counts down to the lighting of the Christmas tree, filling the waterfront with holiday cheer. It’s a magical evening that brings the spirit of the season to life.
Kick off the holiday season in downtown St. Marys at the annual White Lighting Processional Parade, a festive evening of music, dance and holiday cheer.
The procession begins at 5:30 p.m., or just after dusk, at Meeting Street. The public is invited to join Santa, Mrs. Claus and friends as they make their way up Osborne Street toward the waterfront.
Along the route, enjoy Christmas carolers from The Friese Studio of Music, dance performances by Coastal Dance Studio and Lisa Allen’s Dance Works, and holiday music from the Camden Community Band.
The procession ends at the waterfront, where Santa will light the giant St. Marys Christmas Tree. Afterward, children can visit Santa at the St. Marys Waterfront Pavilion behind the tree. Bring your camera for a holiday photo!
Admission is free.
