Located just a short drive west of Kingsland, the City of Folkston’s Railwatch Day brings train aficionados from all across the country into this quaint town to observe, record and enjoy the romance of yesteryear at a junction that sees more trains passing through than any other railroad junction on the eastern seaboard. Activities include: films, networking, lunch and evening cookout, train artwork displays and photo contest. Train enthusiasts! While you’re in the area, don’t forget to take a ride on the Georgia Coastal Railway, departing from Kingsland Station. These themed train excursions take you through the quaint neighborhoods, bustling business district and across the serene coastal marshes of the Kingsland area.
