Family Fun Day at Crooked River State Park

Celebrate Independence Day with a morning of classic family fun at Crooked River State Park Nature Center! Join the park’s rangers for a variety of old-fashioned games, outdoor activities, and hands-on learning opportunities designed for all ages.
The day kicks off with a patriotic “Red, White, and Blue Bird Hike” followed by family favorites including sack races, a balloon toss, and a casting contest where participants can test and sharpen their fishing skills. Guests can also enjoy a special presentation on snakes and anacondas before wrapping up the day with “Bluebirds and Blueprints,” a fun birdhouse-building craft where participants will create a birdhouse to take home.
All activities will take place at the Nature Center. Bring the whole family and enjoy a day of laughter, friendly competition, and outdoor adventure.
Schedule Highlights:
- 9 a.m. – Red, White, and Blue Bird Hike
- 10:30 a.m. – Sack Race
- 11 a.m. – Casting Contest
- 11:30 a.m. – Balloon Toss
- Noon – Snakes and Anacondas
- 2 p.m. – Bluebirds and Blueprints Birdhouse Craft ($5 materials fee)
