“Sasquatched: The Musical” at St. Marys Little Theatre

St. Marys Little Theatre will kick off its 2026 season with the hilarious and heartwarming production of “Sasquatched: The Musical,” an original musical adventure set in the familiar surroundings of the Okefenokee Swamp. Performances will run October 16–25 at St. Marys Little Theatre, located at 4515 Highway 40 East, Suite E, in St. Marys.
Forget everything you think you know about Bigfoot. Arthur the Sasquatch is intelligent, gentle, and dignified—a far cry from the legendary creature of popular imagination. When Arthur becomes lost in the Okefenokee Swamp, he is befriended by a young boy named Sam. Together, they encounter quirky locals and evade a relentless television crew determined to prove that Bigfoot exists.
Featuring energetic songs, laugh-out-loud comedy, and a cast of unforgettable characters, “Sasquatched: The Musical” takes audiences on a rockin’ romp through the swamp while delivering clever social commentary on human-Sasquatch relations. The family-friendly production celebrates friendship, acceptance, and the importance of looking beyond first impressions.
St. Marys Little Theatre founder and show director Barbara Ryan Harris said, “There is a little bit of Sasquatch in everyone. Audiences will discover how disparate communities can connect with the common bond of kindness and understanding.”
Performances are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays, October 16, 17, 23, and 24 at 7 p.m., with Sunday matinees on October 18 and 25 at 2 p.m.
