Train Adventures
All Aboard!
There is something timeless about the sound of a train whistle echoing through the pines. It sparks curiosity, stirs nostalgia, and reminds us that some of the best adventures begin with the journey itself. In Kingsland, the railroad isn’t just part of our history—it’s part of who we are.
From unforgettable themed excursions aboard the Georgia Coastal Railway to fascinating railroad museums, interactive model train displays, live entertainment at historic Kingsland Station, and one of America’s most beloved train-watching destinations just minutes away, Kingsland invites you to experience the enduring magic of the rails.
Every Ride Tells a Different Story
No two journeys along the rails are quite the same. One weekend, young conductors may be helping dinosaurs return to their own time. Another, families are searching for pirate treasure, laughing through a comedy show, or climbing aboard a magical holiday train. From immersive themed excursions to relaxing scenic rides, every visit offers a new reason to return.
Whether you’re planning a family tradition, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for an experience you won’t find anywhere else, there’s always another adventure waiting at Kingsland Station.

More Than a Train Station
Kingsland Station is more than just a place where Georgia Coastal Railway trains depart and arrive. Originally built as a sawmill in 1915, the building is also home to the Florida-Georgia Railway Heritage Museum, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving railroad history through education, exhibits, and entertainment; and the Kingsland Station Theater which offers a wide range of live entertainment.
After your railway adventure, dine at one of Kingsland’s nearby eateries like the nostalgic Steffen’s Restaurant, then return to Kingsland Station Theater for a night of music, comedy, or theater, complemented by an adult beverage of your choice at the theater’s full bar.
Keep the Adventure Rolling
One train is never enough, continue your railroad adventure just over 20 minutes away at the famous Folkston Funnel. Railfans from around the world gather here to watch freight and passenger trains pass through one of the busiest rail corridors in the Southeast. With a covered viewing platform and train monitoring radio, it’s the perfect way to round out a railroad-inspired day.
